What is Cloud Computing?

You may have heard of the cloud; you may be using it on a regular basis. When you use it, we speak of ‘cloud computing’. Cloud computing has multiple services, in this article we will highlight the three more popular services:

Platform as a service (PaaS)
With PaaS the client does not have to maintain the infrastructure (the hardware where the cloud is hosted). The platform is being updated by the supplier. The client needs to implement the software to use.

Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS)
The client can freely choose the hardware they want to use but need to install their own software to make use of it.

Software as a service (SaaS)
With SaaS the client can make use of end user programs already configured by the supplier of the server.

With Cloud Computing the customer can launch applications and storage on demand, with this money and time can be saved, so cloud computing can be efficient and profitable for your business.
